We recognize the risks that may arise within online environments, including misuse, harassment, and abusive behaviour. To address these risks, we have established the following Community Guidelines. These standards define acceptable behaviour and explicitly prohibit actions that compromise user safety or the integrity of the platform.

Our objective is to ensure a secure space for authentic one-to-one interactions. SoChat employs advanced moderation systems and continues to invest in technological solutions to detect and remove harmful content. However, community participation is also essential. We strongly encourage users to report any material or conduct that violates these rules through the “How to Report” feature in our Safety Centre.

We employ a combination of artificial intelligence, KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures, and manual moderation to verify age and block underage accounts. Profiles flagged by automated detection systems or user reports are subject to moderator review and removal if confirmed to be in violation. At sochat.me, we believe people need to feel safe to build meaningful connections, and we work hard to protect our users, especially minors. We are committed to making our community a safe place where content that promotes harmful or dangerous behaviour isn’t allowed. Our rules are designed to mitigate potential online risks, focusing on child safety, sensitive content, and criminal behaviour. Safety remains a core principle of the SoChat community. Content that encourages, promotes, or depicts unsafe or harmful behaviour is not tolerated. Our policies are designed to minimize risks related to child protection, inappropriate or dangerous material, and criminal activities, thereby ensuring that all users may engage with confidence.

Violent and Hateful Behaviour:

• SoChat enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding violent or hateful conduct.
• Content or actions that promote, incite, or glorify violence are prohibited. Users may not target others on the basis of race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or disability. Additionally, the platform does not permit individuals or organizations associated with terrorism, hate groups, criminal enterprises, or armed groups.

Adult-themed Content:

• In order to maintain a respectful environment, SoChat prohibits nudity, sexual activity, and sexually explicit content. These restrictions are in place to prevent exploitation, solicitation, and underage exposure.
• The following examples are not permitted:
  • Nude or partially nude images/videos (exposed genitalia or breasts)
  • Shirtless or underwear photos/videos, including those in transparent clothing
  • Bikini or swimwear imagery
  • Sexual acts or depictions of intercourse and stimulation
  • Digital nudity or depictions that sexualize minors
  • Sexually explicit or offensive language

Bullying & Harassment:

• At sochat.me, we encourage diversity in our community and promote respect among all our users with zero tolerance for discrimination.
• We have a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying and harassment of any kind and any acts of intimidation by another user.
• Abusive language or behaviour can negatively impact mental health and well-being, causing serious distress in an individual. Therefore, content that intends to degrade, threaten, or shame an individual is not allowed on our platforms.
• All users are entitled to participate without fear of bullying or harassment.
• SoChat prohibits content or behaviour that shames, intimidates, or degrades others. Abusive language and targeted harassment are unacceptable and will result in enforcement actions.

Child Safety:

• SoChat maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding child exploitation. Children are strictly prohibited from using the platform.
• Any content involving the sexualization, exploitation, or abuse of minors will be reported to law enforcement and result in permanent removal of the associated account.
• Examples include:
• Depictions of sexual activity involving minors
• Implied or explicit intercourse with children
• Promotion or normalization of pedophilia
• Solicitation of sexual or nude images of minors

Suicide & Self-Harm:

• Content that promotes, instructs, or glorifies suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders is strictly prohibited.
• Although SoChat supports open dialogue surrounding mental health, any attempt to encourage or normalize harmful behaviour will result in removal. This includes:
• Suicide-related content
• Self-harm material
• Eating disorder content, such as anorexia or bulimia
• Where a risk of immediate harm is identified, we encourage users to contact local emergency services without delay.

Illegal or Criminal Activities

Illegal conduct is not tolerated on SoChat. Activities of this nature may also be referred to appropriate authorities.

• Prohibited actions include:
  • Assault, kidnapping, exploitation, trafficking, or smuggling
  • Sexual solicitation (arranging or promoting prostitution or sexual services)
  • Human exploitation through coercion, intimidation, or deception
  • Sale or trade of illegal or regulated goods (e.g., narcotics, weapons, pharmaceuticals)
  • Activities involving endangered animals, including poaching or trafficking

Private Information:

• Restricted information includes but is not limited to:
  1. Government-issued identification (passports, driver’s licenses, social security cards)
  2. Personally identifiable details (full names, residential addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses)
  3. Account credentials (passwords, PINs, digital codes)
  4. Financial data (bank account information, credit/debit card numbers, expiration dates, security codes)
  5. Any attempt to disclose, pressure others to disclose, or misuse such information will result in enforcement action.

Integrity

SoChat requires all users to interact in good faith. Scams, fraud, and other forms of deceptive behaviour are strictly prohibited. Users must uphold authenticity to preserve the integrity of the platform.

Account Authenticity:

• Impersonation or misrepresentation of another individual, group, or organization is not allowed.

• This includes:
  • Use of another person’s images for deceptive purposes
  • Creation of accounts designed to impersonate or mislead others

Name Policy:

Usernames must be respectful and accurately represent the individual.

• The following are prohibited:
  • Use of numbers, symbols, or mixed-language characters in place of names
  • Phrases, sentences, or inappropriate words
  • Sexual, offensive, or suggestive terms
  • Improper or inappropriate emojis and symbols

Deceptive behaviour and Spam:

• At sochat.me, we strive to create a positive experience for our users and therefore work hard to limit the presence of content designed to deceive or aimed at hindering our user’s ability to connect with others authentically. SoChat prohibits conduct that misleads, disrupts, or undermines the user experience.
• Scams, spam, and manipulative practices create unsafe conditions and reduce community trust. Accounts engaging in such activities will be restricted or removed.

Photos, Shares, and Video Streaming Guidelines

• The following types of content are prohibited in all photos, shared posts, and live streams::
